LCM and GCM

Today I was playing a game called Snowball fight. If you want to play this game just click Here. First it will come up with a example and you have solve it. If you get it right you get a point if you get it wrong you don’t get a point. If you don’t know you got it right or wrong then I’ll tell you. IF you get it right then you will throw the snowball on the kids. If you get it wrong then the kids will throw the snowball at you.  LCM stands for Low Common Factor. If you don’t know how to work it out I’ll explain it. Example: 24 and 36 = 2 so 2 x 12 = 24 and 2 x 18 = 36.  6 and 9 = 3, 3 x 2 = 6 and 3 x 3 = 9. After that you go LCM = 2 x 2 x 3 x 2 x 3 = 72 and the GCF = 2 x 2 x 3 = 12. After losing some of my points during this game. I learnt a lot about how to solve LCM and GCF. Ella The Homeless Girl

The Homeless Girl

Character:

Girl - Ella

Parents - Elvis and Alice

Back in the days in 1541 a girl named Ella  was homeless. She was raised by her parents Elvis and Alice but they have died. Now she lives outside by herself with no one looking after her. When she sees kids walking pass her she says “Those kids are lucky because their parents are still alive”. She was very upset and she wanted herself to be adopted. She has been living  outside for a month.

She keeps walking around the city looking for sticks because she wants to build her own little house so that she can be warm. When she came back she took out her blanket and put it over herself because it was windy and she was cold. Who ever walks pass Ella, Ella stands up and say to them sadly “Can I live with you?” but people keeps on ignoring her. After a couple of days a man came up to her said “Are you homeless little girl?” then Ella replied “Yes I am”. The man said “Oh um do you want to come and live with me because I’m the only one that is in my home. Ella said happily “Yes please”. The man took Ella and went with her to his house. When Ella walked into the man's house she was surprised that the house was beautiful and it looked like a palace. The man treated Ella as his daughter.

Alice The Dinosour

Girl - Jenny

Dinosaur - Alice

“Come on Jenny we have  to go and meet our dinosaur friends  Alice” said Charlie. Jenny made a picnic for Alice the dinosaur  because  she hasn’t been eating for days. Charlie walked into the kitchen and said “What are you doing Jenny” Jenny replied “I’m making lunch for Alice the dinosaur. Charlie said “Oh well I think she does need plenty of food”.

Once Jenny and Charlie got onto the van they drove to a secret place in the forest which nobody knows about. When they got to the forest Jenny was surprised that Alice had laid eggs. Charlie and Jenny walked towards the bark and sat down. After that Alice the dinosaur surrounded them. A little while later  they wished that  Alice could talk so they could understand what  she was trying to say. Then Alice said “Guys I’m sorry I’ve should have told you two earlier that I can speak like a human”. Charlie and Jenny were surprised that Alice could talk like a human. Once Jenny knew that Alice could talk she has been asking a lot of questions and Alice had been answering all of her questions. Then the eggs started to move, one egg slipped off the nest and Charlie went to get it. When Charlie picked the egg up the egg started to crack. After it cracked Charlie ran up to Jenny and said happily “Jenny Jenny look at the cute little dinosaur”. Jenny took the little dinosaur out of the egg and hugged it. Jenny said “ I forgot to go and get the picnic from the van”, so Jenny bolted back to the van and got the picnic. She said to the little dinosaur “Here is something to eat and I’m sure you're very hungry”.

The six little dinosaur ate all the picnic. When they finished the picnic they went back to sleep next to Alice. Charlie said “Jenny we got to go home because it's getting dark. Alice jumped onto the van and they drove back home. When they got home Jenny was sleeping so Charlie carried her to her bedroom. Jenny was dreaming about Alice the dinosaur flying her around the town at night.

MATH MAN

Today I was playing a game call Math man. It was all about division. It wasn't that challenging but on level 6 it was so complicated. The sums were 167 X 198 I didn’t know the answer. I just went and crashed into a ghost. But if you don’t know the answer then you can eat the little red star. When you eat the little red star then the ghost will pause. Then you could work out the answer. After eating all the ghost then you will go to a new level and as you collect the yellow dots you’ll get points. My highest level was 6. This allows me to practice my time tables. My teacher was right when you know your times tables solving problems will be very easy.

The Hidden Tree

The Hidden Tree

One sunny day in the forest there was a tree that was hidden which nobody knows  and it was a secret. There were flowers and mushrooms right in front of the door and they were beautifully installed in the right place.

It was the quietest place in the forest and you can’t hardly hear any sound. It’s just like you're in a library. Beside the steps there was  moss. The moss keeps the tree standing but if you don’t have  moss on your tree, than your tree can’t balance.

In this tree little people use to live but years have passed nobody lives in the tree anymore. The people that lived in the tree,  called the tree THE HIDDEN TREE. After a couple of years the tree had grown and grown and grown and it was almost the highest tree in the world.

A man came around in the forest to study  the tree. He saw a huge bush so he took out his scissors and cut the bush. Behind the bush was the secret tree where the little people used to live.

The Man saw the tree and called the helicopter to come and measure how long the tree is. Once the tree was measured the man that was studying the tree said “This tree is the biggest tree in the world”. They drove to the guinness world record that they have a tree that has beat the record. They drove back and build a museum right next to the tree.

After they build the museum they opened the museum and people came and they just took pictures of the trees because it was amazing. People were just amazed how tall the tree is and nobody has ever grown a tree that tall.

Hello my name is Sini and today I will be chatting about Marh Hoops. Here is a sum Mark had 83 baseball cards. He gave 30 of his card to his best friend. How many baseball cards did Mark have left? First of all I will subtract 83 from 30 and the answer is 53 that was Q1.

Today this morning I was playing Drag Race It was pretty hard. I was playing with the computers all of us came a tie. My seconds was 1454.67. I was having a lot of fun because when they get the answer right I do too. When you get the answer right then the boost will push you. This game can help you with your division.

But I don’t know what were they talking about the fraction with the red line which you will find it on the first picture. On Friday after morning Mrs Ramkolowan and Mrs Tuakoi took us outside because we had to draw something that you’re doing. I came up with an idea that know one didn’t think of.

My idea was a podium. Everyone was thinking of the same idea besides me. When I was drawing a podium everyone came and ask what are you drawing. I didn’t tell them what I was drawing I waited until I finished drawing then I told them. Everyone said “That I came up with a brilliant I idea. When I finished drawing my podium my teacher Mrs Tuakoi had to take a picture of me pretending that I came first in the Rio 2016 Olympics.

After we finished drawing then we went back to class and complete our unfinished work.

Dear Mr Hendricks

Year 7 and 8 should take leadership organising the mini olympic for the senior part of the school. We are sick of letting the teachers organising the sports. Why? Because some children complain about the kind of sports that the teachers organise. Well if us senior kids organise it, then we can make decisions about the type sports, or we can make girls play their own sport and boys play their own.  Therefore here are some of the reasons why you should let us, year 7 & 8 students organise the mini olympics.

Firstly, the mini olympics is for us and we should have a say in it.  It is important for us to have a say in it because we take part in it because if we don’t like the sports given then we won’t want to play it.

Lastly, if you give us the chance to organise this mini olympics, it can help us to learn how to work as a team.  I know we have to work as a team when organising something.

Now , I want you to let us do it and I can tell you we won’t let you down.

Describe a Picture

One freezing snowy day the two black twin kittens were sleeping peacefully on Max, the dog. A few minutes later, Max was woken by a big loud noise. As Max jumped up with a fright the two black kittens fell on the ground.

When the the two twins fell onto the ground they saw the snow cracking in to enormous parts. The friends were shouting to each other "help help". One twin cat went  SOUTH, and the other twin went  NORTH and Max went to EAST. They were sailing into different places. Max was shouting to the twins sadly "gooooodbye my twin friends". The twins said to each other crying "goodbye brother". The sun started going down and it got darker and darker. The twins were scared because it was very dark and they couldn't see anything After a couple of minutes the twins started going to sleep. When it was 4:00 in the afternoon the twins crashed into  land. The twins went up onto the land. He couldn't believe this, he jumped with joy because he saw his twin brother and Max.

They went looking for a stick and Max found a huge cave. They use the stick as a campfire to keep worm.
